Gary’s Gallop 5k Run & 2-Mile Walk

The 15th annual Gary’s Gallop 5k run and 2-mile walk, presented by Elite Sport & Spine, will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Wisconsin Lutheran College Outdoor Athletic Complex in Wauwatosa, WI. The race starts 9:30am in the athletic complex parking lot with a scenic course through Underwood Parkway.

The chiropractors from Elite Sport & Spine will provide free soft tissue treatments before and after the race. Dr. Shiels said, “This is a great, family-friendly event! We’re excited to be sponsoring this event again this year, and we’re happy to assist with any training- or injury-related questions you may have leading up to the event.”

A well-deserved sports chiropractic soft tissue treatment after the 5k run

Raceday registration and shirt/bib pickup runs from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. The 5k run and 2-mile walk start at 9:30, with the kids race starting at 10:30.

The race begins in the parking lot of Wisconsin Lutheran College’s Outdoor Athletic Complex parking lot (1401 Swan Boulevard, Wauwatosa – get directions) and proceeds onto Underwood Parkway. Participants then head northeast on the parkway to the entrance of Hansen Park, before returning to the athletic complex. The race finishes on the Raabe Stadium track.

While adults are running or walking, the FREE Kids’ Corner is available to entertain children during the race. Wisconsin Lutheran College’s dance team and coaches will supervise the Kid’s Corner. After the 5k run, kids 12 and under are invited to run around the Raabe Stadium track. No registration is necessary.

5k Run and 2-Mile Walk Registration Fees

Early-bird registration runs through April 11th. Registration for the 5k run and 2-mile walk is $25 adults and $10 for youth participants (12 and under). Raceday registration and the option for remote participation are $30.

The registration fee includes a long-sleeve, moisture-wicking shirt (for 5k and 2-mile participants only) in addition to a light breakfast and lunch! Also noteworthy, a charitable gift benefiting the replacement of the Raabe Stadium track is included.

Medals are awarded to the top male and female runners by age division, overall male and female finisher, and by team.
