What a week! If you’re anything like us, you’ve gone from wondering how far the Badgers would make it in the NCAA tournament to wondering if anything won’t be canceled due to coronavirus in the next month.

As we seek to serve our patients in the best possible way, we want to keep you informed of our clinic’s current and updated health practices. We also thought it would be helpful to share a video containing 10 facts about Coronavirus that will hopefully calm some fears:

Our Practices During Coronavirus Pandemic

It is important to us to prevent the spread of any virus, whether the cold, flu, or COVID-19. Here are the steps we already take on a daily basis to maintain a clean environment.

1. Our doctors hand sanitize or wash hands between every patient.
2. We disinfect treatment tables between every patient.
3. We disinfect all reception area surfaces and bathrooms on a daily basis.

Here are the new measures we’ve implemented during this coronavirus pandemic:

1. We are now disinfecting reception area surfaces and bathroom surfaces multiple times each day.
2. Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes are now available in our reception area for patients to use.

We completely understand if you do not feel safe venturing out to your scheduled appointment during this time of uncertainty. We ask that you please call or email if you plan to cancel your appointment. Canceling through the link provided in the email confirmation you received when your appointment was scheduled is also an option. As of the time of this statement, we firmly believe we have taken appropriate steps to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Our doctors remain available for anyone who is still seeking chiropractic treatment. However, due to the very fluid nature of the current situation, that may change. We will keep you updated as more information is available.

Keeping You Updated Moving Forward

Dr. Shiels and Beth are currently working to figure out child care and reception coverage with schools closed. Please bear with us, since phone calls to our clinic may not be answered immediately, and it may take some time to return your calls. In addition, insurance billing and information may be delayed both due to staffing on our end as well as insurance companies requesting their employees to stay home.
