Your First Visit
We know the first visit to a chiropractor can feel uncertain, whether it’s your very first time or simply a new clinic. At Elite Sport & Spine, our approachable, caring team is here to put you at ease. From the moment you arrive, we’ll walk you through each step so you feel comfortable, confident, and supported.
Your initial appointment begins with a thorough evaluation—listening to your health history, understanding your goals, and performing a detailed movement-based exam. Our board-certified chiropractors and rehab specialists don’t just treat symptoms; they identify root causes and design individualized, evidence-driven plans that integrate chiropractic care, targeted rehab, and performance-focused coaching. Whether you’re an active family or an everyday athlete, your first visit is the start of a transformative experience—one that helps you recover faster, move better, and sustain lifelong resilience.

Your First Chiropractic Appointment Will Include:
- New patient paperwork
- A history of your individual injury or condition
- Any necessary orthopedic and neurological tests
- Movement tests to identify the cause of your pain
- Discussion of your personal goals for health and recovery with the doctor
- An explanation of the treatment plan and techniques to be used
- Initial treatment
In some cases, the history of the injury and the findings of the examination will warrant diagnostic imaging (x-ray or MRI) or further testing. In these cases, we refer out to imaging facilities or other health care providers.
The Elite Sport & Spine Way
Most acute injuries require follow-up care and an individualized plan to fully resolve. At Elite Sport & Spine, we guide patients through a proven three-phase process—honed over more than a decade of clinical experience—to move you from pain relief to long-term performance.
1. Pain Relief
The first priority is getting you out of pain quickly so you can begin rebuilding strength and confidence. This phase typically lasts 2–6 visits, with treatments scheduled closer together (2–3 times per week) to help you feel better fast.
2. Injury Resilience
Because past injuries are the biggest predictor of future ones, this phase focuses on eliminating weak links in how your body moves. Appointments are spaced out (weekly or biweekly) and paired with a customized exercise plan designed to bulletproof your “bad back,” “bum knee,” or other vulnerable area.
3. Performance Care
The final phase is about sustaining your progress and optimizing performance. Some athletes prefer monthly tune-ups, others come quarterly, and some check in only when stiffness or discomfort begins. We’ll work with you to determine the right schedule based on your goals, activity level, and lifestyle.
