CROSSFIT INJURIES

Build Strength Without Pain

Training Hard Without Breaking Down

CrossFit workouts demand strength, power, and endurance—but they also place significant stress on the body’s joints, tendons, and muscles. The combination of high intensity, heavy lifts, and dynamic, repetitive movements can lead to overuse or strain if mobility, recovery, or technique are lacking. Some of the most common CrossFit injuries include shoulder impingement, lower back pain, knee and hip irritation, wrist strain, and tendon overuse in areas like the elbows or Achilles.

Most CrossFit-related injuries don’t occur from a single movement gone wrong, but from small compensations that build over time—like limited shoulder mobility during overhead lifts, weak core stability during deadlifts, or improper squatting mechanics. When fatigue sets in, form often breaks down, amplifying stress on vulnerable areas. Understanding why these injuries happen is the first step toward preventing them—and getting athletes back to performing at their best.

How We Keep CrossFit Athletes Pain-Free

We take a movement-first, athlete-focused approach to every injury. Your evaluation may include functional movement screening, lift assessments, and mobility testing to identify what’s holding you back. Treatment often combines chiropractic adjustments, Graston Technique, Active Release Technique (ART), and dry needling to improve mobility, reduce pain, and speed recovery. From there, we’ll guide you through corrective and strength-based rehab designed to restore performance and prevent future injury.

Beyond the clinic, we’re deeply connected to the local CrossFit community—partnering with area gyms for lifting workshops, injury prevention seminars, and on-site event care. We’re here not just to fix injuries, but to help athletes understand their bodies, move better, and build resilience. At Elite Sport & Spine, our goal is simple: keep you training, performing, and living without limits.

What Clients Are Saying

“I went to see Dr. Zach about my back and knee. He worked on my areas and gave me some recommendations. So far so good. As a CrossFitter, I will continue to see him for maintenance.”
