The Cause Behind Your Foot Pain
Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel and arch pain—especially among runners and those on their feet for long hours. It occurs when the thick band of tissue along the bottom of your foot (the plantar fascia) becomes inflamed or strained due to overuse, poor movement mechanics, or improper footwear. While it’s often labeled an “overuse injury,” research shows that muscle weakness and gait imbalances play a larger role than once thought—particularly the relationship between the plantar fascia and the toe-flexing muscles that stabilize your stride.
Symptoms often include sharp, stabbing pain with your first steps in the morning or after periods of rest. Over time, repeated micro-tearing and scar tissue buildup can make the condition chronic, limiting flexibility and prolonging recovery. But with the right combination of movement correction, soft-tissue care, and strength work, lasting relief is possible.

Our Proven Path to Better Movement
Our performance-based approach to plantar fasciitis allows our chiropractors to identify the underlying mechanical issues—such as tight calves, weak foot muscles, or faulty running patterns—and build a personalized plan to restore strength, mobility, and proper gait mechanics. Treatment may include Graston Technique, Active Release Technique (ART), dry needling, and corrective exercises to reduce scar tissue, improve tissue elasticity, and restore pain-free movement.
We also partner with Performance Running Outfitters to ensure our patients are properly fitted with supportive footwear that complements their mechanics and goals. Most patients experience significant improvement within just a few treatments, and we equip you with the tools to maintain healthy, resilient feet for the long run.
