GRASTON TECHNIQUE

Instrument-Assisted Fascia Work for Faster Relief and Cleaner Movement

Restore Tissue Glide,
Unlock Better Movement

The Graston Technique® is an instrument-assisted soft-tissue method that helps identify and release adhesions in fascia—the connective tissue that separates and supports muscles, nerves, and vessels (think of the “white fuzz” in an orange). By restoring healthy tissue glide, we can reduce pain, improve mobility, and set the stage for stronger, cleaner movement.

Your provider uses a set of six contoured stainless-steel instruments to scan and treat specific regions—often affected by repetitive stress, prolonged postures, prior injury, or surgery. As restrictions release, patients typically notice immediate positive changes in range of motion and tenderness. We then reinforce those gains with targeted exercise and coaching, and—when appropriate—follow with gentler, lower-force joint manipulation for lasting results.

Graston Technique® is trusted across high-performance settings: the Green Bay Packers, the Milwaukee Brewers, the Milwaukee Bucks, Marquette University, the Wisconsin Badgers, U.S. Olympic Training Centers, and U.S. Soccer are among the many teams that use it to keep athletes healthy and moving well. We apply the same evidence-based approach to your goals, integrating Graston with soft-tissue work, adjustments, dry needling, and progressive rehab to help you get back to the activities you love.

What Clients Are Saying

“I sought out Elite Sport & Spine specifically for the variety of treatments, including the Active Release Technique (ART) and the Graston Technique®, to help me overcome long-term chronic mobility and pain issues in my neck. I have been impressed with not only the relief of my symptoms, but the support provided while treating the symptoms. To resolve the core problem, I have been provided with strengthening exercises to help ensure I am improving my body, not just surviving. So thankful I found this place as I cannot imagine where I would be without them.”
