Elite Sport & Spine at the Trailbreaker Marathon
Trailbreaker Marathon – Waukesha, WI
The sports chiropractors from Elite Sport & Spine in Brookfield will be at the Trailbreaker Marathon in Waukesha on April 7th.
Dr. Shiels said, “This is a great event to kick off the spring marathon season! We’re excited to be sponsoring the Trailbreaker again this year and working on runners before or after the race. Furthermore, we’re happy to assist with any training or running injury questions participants may have in the weeks leading up to the event.”
Our sports chiropractors are providing free soft tissue treatments before and after the marathon and half-marathon events. Even if it’s cold outside, don’t worry! We will be inside the Schuetze Recreation Center near the start and finish lines.
Trailbreaker Marathon Info
The race begins and ends on city streets and sidewalks, with the middle 20 miles covering mostly paved running trails (including the Fox River Trail & Glacial Drumlin Trail). About 5 miles of the race consists of the Ice Age Trail which can be extremely rugged. A neat feature of this race is the marathon turn-around, which occurs at the top of the 40 foot Lapham Peak Tower. This offers spectacular views of the surrounding lake country for those needing to catch their breath after the climb.
